It was great to see you and Ariel! Next time, you'll have to come in the spring or summer, when you will be less likely to end up driving I-5 in the miserable rain. I've been there many times, driving from Portland to Eugene, thinking I should just pull over and get a motel till the rain stops. Glad you made it safely!

What you wrote is very true about alternative medicine and business. I've had eight years of trial and error, I'm just glad I started young and I'm tenacious. Rob stuggled for the last couple years until he discovered a socially conscious business model that works. We're both avid networkers, and read and talk a lot about business. I had a business class in massage school, but it was a joke, I've learned from seeking out others who are successful and studying them.

However, it's worth it! I love being self-employed and doing the work I do! I feel like I can make a living, and make a better world.

See you soon!

It was wonderful to chat with you guys! I'm glad I finally got to sample Cafe Vita (though I still prefer Seattle's Caffe Vita ;) I agree with you about self-employed friends. Though, I do know that at OCOM (the Oriental medicine school my acupuncturist went to) they make you do at least one project that has to do with learning the financial/business end of things (I can't remember specifically what my friend told me the project was). Still, it must take quite a bit of trial and error to learn to get that ledger balanced each month...kudos to those who make it happen :)
